HANNOVER MESSE 2016: BOLDLY GO INDUSTRIES Reveals Potential Energy Savings

From April 25 to 29, 2016, BOLDLY GO INDUSTRIES will present SAP-based solutions for maximum energy savings in industrial production to visitors to the HANNOVER MESSE at stand C04 in hall 7. Its approach involves digitalizing all energy-related production processes. This makes energy flows transparent so that they can be analyzed and optimized. Total resource management enables companies to secure key competitive advantages such as increased efficiency and tax benefits.

Value stream mapping in accordance with ISO 50001

BOLDLY GO INDUSTRIES digitalizes all energy-related processes using value stream mapping in accordance with ISO 50001. This gives companies detailed information about their actual energy flows. As an SAP partner, BOLDLY GO INDUSTRIES will present and explain the value stream mapping process to visitors to the HANNOVER MESSE in an accessible way based on a simulation at stand C04 in hall 7. This optimizes each individual step of the value chain with respect to its energy saving potential. It is made possible by cloud-based SAP applications, which BOLDLY GO INDUSTRIES customizes to meet the specific requirements of individual customers. In addition, pooling data from the SAP ERP system creates added value such as the projection of energy data to individual orders.

The individual applications are based on the requirements of ISO 50001 to support the certification process. Specifically, weaknesses in the system are identified, measures defined, responsibilities allocated, the results checked and ultimately evaluated. Three basic user roles are taken into account in the energy management system: The energy manager, who is responsible for all energy-related production processes, the production manager, who is given responsibility for certain processes by the energy manager, and finally the person responsible for conducting the final assessment of the certification period.

Exploit potential energy savings of up to 25%

“For companies to succeed in high-wage regions, there is no avoiding Energy Management 4.0 in accordance with ISO 50001. This is why BOLDLY GO INDUSTRIES has chosen to focus on this key issue,” said BOLDLY GO INDUSTRIES Chief Innovation Officer Andreas Jamm in Frankfurt. “We help to identify, develop and exploit previously untapped energy efficiency potential.”

Alongside potential energy savings of up to 25 percent,[1] companies also benefit from the significant tax advantages offered by TÜV ISO 50001 certification, including a reduction in electricity tax under the Tax Cap and Efficiency System Regulation (“Spitzenausgleich-Effizienzsystemverordnung”). The special relief scheme enables companies with significant trading activities and high electricity costs to limit the EEG surcharge to up to 1 percent. The regulation also provides for public subsidies of up to €200,000 within 36 months to promote energy management systems. All companies – independent of their size and sector – can have their energy management certified according to ISO 50001 and take advantage of its benefits.
